OPACY selected the SAP Investigative Case Management package (based on SAP Business All-in-One) to support its evolving management information system needs.

The implementation project will begin this month, with a projected “go-live” planned for June 2012.
Illumiti announced yesterday it has been named the 2011 SAP® Business All-in-One Partner of the Year, Canada. Awards were presented by SAP Americas (NYSE: SAP) during the SAP® North America Field Kick-Off Meeting (FKOM) 2012, held Jan. 17-19 in New Orleans, La., to the top-performing SAP channel partners and SAP services partners in North America for outstanding contributions that impact overall SAP sales and pipeline-generation goals.
Nir Orbach, founder and CEO, Illumiti, said, “We are thrilled to be recognized by SAP as its top partner for SAP Business All-in-One in Canada for the second year in a row. This award is a testament to the professionalism and hard work demonstrated by our entire team in delivering highly effective solutions to our clients’ business challenges in partnership with SAP.”
Selected from SAP’s wide-ranging North American partner base, nominations for the SAP Partner Impact awards were based on internal SAP sales data. A steering committee composed of regional and global SAP representatives determined winning partners in each category according to numerous criteria such as sales achievement and performance. As the recipient of a 2012 Partner Impact award, Illumiti has been honored as SAP’s top channel partner for the SAP Business All-in-One solution in Canada. Winners will receive strong recognition from the SAP field for their accomplishments.
Illumiti received the award during the SAP North America FKOM 2012, an annual gathering of SAP executives, SAP field employees and partners to learn about SAP’s strategy, sales methodology, best practices, business growth opportunities and product innovations. The theme of this year’s meeting, “Run Better Win Bigger,” prominently featured SAP’s innovation story focusing on its core pillars – analytics, cloud, mobility and in-memory computing – as well as solutions for industries and lines of business on a consistent core. A focus of the event was on helping SAP’s strong partner ecosystem succeed in 2012 by providing visibility into SAP’s company direction, education on products, networking opportunities, and exposure to SAP leaders. SAP and its partners help customers adopt innovation easily, gain results rapidly, grow sustainably and ultimately run better with SAP solutions. This year’s North America FKOM hosted more than 4,000 attendees from the U.S. and Canada.
“Our partners’ regional, industry and solution expertise play a crucial role in driving game-changing co-innovation and expanding our market reach and customer touch points,” said John Graham, head of Volume Markets and Ecosystem & Channels, SAP America, Inc. “As a recipient of a 2012 SAP Partner Impact award, we recognize Illumiti’s commitment and efforts in developing and growing its partnership with SAP and driving customer success.”

Renew Life Canada, live with the SAP Business One application since August 2011, is benefiting from faster, error-free automated processes and complete, real-time visibility into business operations
Renew Life Canada is one of the most well-respected natural health companies in North America. According to the company’s website, by specializing in digestive care and cleansing, the company has been able to inform, educate and have a profound impact on millions of people's health. Brenda Watson, who founded Renew Life in 1997, continues to educate, formulate and help improve the lives of people throughout the world.
Renew Life’s business operation involves manufacturing, purchasing, warehousing and distribution of natural health products to retail stores across the country. Due to strict regulatory conditions, this necessitates careful product batch management that takes into account shelf life while optimizing stock levels and continuously meeting customer demand. With sustained business growth exceeding 20% in the previous year, Renew Life recognized the need to implement an integrated business management system to enable it to better manage inventory and to maximize the automation level of core operational processes. To this end, Renew Life Canada selected the SAP® Business One application as its business management application and Illumiti as its implementation partner.
Illumiti completed the implementation project during a five-month period, allowing the transformation of Renew Life’s business processes to take place gradually without adversely impacting its day-to-day business. The system went live at the agreed time and within the approved budget. The solution covers all aspects of running the business, including procurement, inventory management, distribution and financial management.
With this solution in place Renew Life Canada now benefits from greater visibility, improved process timeliness, stronger controls and significantly better management reporting. Thomas Bedford, president, Renew Life Canada said: “With SAP Business One I now have complete transparency and can obtain an integrated, real-time view of business operations. Moreover, the procurement, inventory management and distribution processes we’ve automated with SAP Business One run error-free and much faster than before. Illumiti has done an outstanding job of educating us about the system and implementing it to support our current and future needs.”
The streamlined operational processes run through the system are expected to deliver significant cost savings, increasing profitability for Renew Life as the company’s business volume continues to grow with little or no requirements for additional headcount.
Since going live with its SAP® Business All-in-One solution in May 2010, Laricina Energy has more than tripled its staff while significantly improving the efficiency of its financial and project cost control operations.
Laricina Energy is a privately held company focused on creating value by developing Canada’s oil sands using innovative in situ technologies. According to the company web site, it has a diverse portfolio of oil sands assets at varied stages of development, and experienced people with the requisite technical expertise. Laricina has identified five core areas with commercial production potential in excess of 500,000 gross barrels of bitumen per day from a large concentrated resource base with approximately 4.6 billion barrels net recoverable bitumen.
As part of expanding its exploration and development projects and preparing for commercial oil production and future growth – Laricina decided to implement an integrated business management / ERP solution. Laricina selected SAP® Business All-in-One as the solution technology and Illumiti as its implementation partner.
Illumiti implemented the solution from January 2010, with the first phase going live in May 2010 – on time and within the planned budget. Phase 1 included financial and management accounting, materials management, inventory management and procurement; with plant maintenance added in Phase 2. The implementation included a particularly strong focus on Laricina’s requirements for AFE (Application For Expenditure) project cost control and its seamless integration with the rest of its financial management processes, with real-time information management. This has enabled Laricina to avoid the typical practice within its industry – of using best-of-breed software for managing AFEs. Having a single integrated system significantly improves efficiency and reduces IT costs.
Stuart Gibson, Laricina's Manager, Operational Accounting, said: "Illumiti delivered outstanding, integrated AFE (project tracking) and financial management functionality that helps us control costs, produce accurate reports and manage operational information in real-time. The system was implemented by Illumiti on time and within the allocated budget, enabling Laricina Energy to support its growth with a minimal increase in admin staff."
Gibson also mentioned that the solution and service provided exceed industry norms and expectations in the level of integration between Laricina's project cost control (AFE) processes and overall financial management processes; the exceptionally high-quality implementation team in the Financial Information and AFE areas; and the level of availability and responsiveness demonstrated by the implementation team.
As Laricina begins commercial oil production and continues its growth, the solution is expected to yield additional benefits to revenue, profitability and customer service.

I recently participated in Sapphire Now, SAP's annual conference, which had breakthrough attendance of more than 100,000 people globally: 14,000 in person and 86,000 online.
One of the sessions at Sapphire which I'd like to highlight today was a panel discussion involving three mid-sized companies from different industries and countries, all of whom extended their initial ERP implementations in ways that delivered exceptional business value.
The panelists included:
- Joanne Hodge, VP and CIO of TheMIGroup, a global provider of relocation and assignment management programs (and a long-standing customer of Illumiti);
- William Edmonds, President and Director of Sales and Marketing at B&G Manufacturing Company Inc, a manufacturer and distributor of diverse products including fasteners, medical devices and machine tools; and
- Andreas Berg, CIO of Wolffkran AG, a crane manufacturer and international crane leasing and services company.
The benefits and value attained by these companies, as described in the video, are wide ranging. TheMIGroup has changed the game with respect to quality customer service in its industry, via its ReloWeb® portal. B&G Manufacturing has fully inegrated its shop floor operations with the rest of its ERP-managed business processes, creating a paperless, significantly more efficient environment. Wolffkran has given its highly mobile field service technicians the ability to send and receive critical real-time information at the point of need using wireless mobile devices.
More information about Illumiti customer TheMIGroup and its innovative SAP implementation can be viewed and downloaded here.
