Illumiti today announced that The Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth (OPACY) has selected the SAP® Investigative Case Management for Public Sector package and Illumiti as its implementation partner.
OPACY reports directly to the Legislature of Ontario and provides an independent voice for children and youth, including children with special needs and First Nations children. The advocates receive and respond to concerns from children, youth and families who are seeking or receiving services under the Child and Family Services Act and the Education Act (Provincial and Demonstration Schools).
OPACY selected the SAP Investigative Case Management package (based on SAP Business All-in-One) to support its evolving management information system needs.
“The Office’s vision is to utilize SAP’s comprehensive integrated suite of online Web solutions to help ensure we have the functionality we need to support our core business processes,” said Laura Arndt, Director of Strategic Development.
SAP Investigative Case Management for Public Sector enables organizations to consolidate and manage diverse information in a central repository, and to track and analyze this information. Case management allows managers to open, edit and close cases, as well as enable follow-up items, case history and sub-case hierarchy.
The implementation project will begin this month, with a projected “go-live” planned for June 2012.

Illumiti announced yesterday it has been named the 2011 SAP® Business All-in-One Partner of the Year, Canada. Awards were presented by SAP Americas (NYSE: SAP) during the SAP® North America Field Kick-Off Meeting (FKOM) 2012, held Jan. 17-19 in New Orleans, La., to the top-performing SAP channel partners and SAP services partners in North America for outstanding contributions that impact overall SAP sales and pipeline-generation goals.

Bowie Resources will benefit from greater visibility of operations, stronger controls and improved management reporting following the recent “go live” of SAP Business All-in-One implemented by Illumiti.

Illumiti announced today the “go live” implementation of the SAP® Business All-in-One solution for Bowie Resources LLC, a leading long wall operator and producer of high grade compliance coal with its principal operation located near Paonia, Colorado.
Illumiti completed the implementation project during a six-week period, with minimal disruption to Bowie’s day-to-day business. The system went live on time and will provide support to a range of business activities, including financial management, purchasing and inventory management.
With this solution in place, Bowie Resources will benefit from greater visibility of its operations, stronger controls and significantly better management reporting. The streamlined operational processes run through the system are expected to deliver significant cost savings as the company continues to expand its operations. Renew Life Canada, live with the SAP Business One application since August 2011, is benefiting from faster, error-free automated processes and complete, real-time visibility into business operations
Renew Life Canada is one of the most well-respected natural health companies in North America. Renew Life’s business operation involves manufacturing, purchasing, warehousing and distribution of natural health products to retail stores across the country. Due to strict regulatory conditions, this necessitates careful product batch management that takes into account shelf life while optimizing stock levels and continuously meeting customer demand. Since going live with its SAP® Business All-in-One solution in May 2010, Laricina Energy has more than tripled its staff while significantly improving the efficiency of its financial and project cost control operations.
Laricina Energy is a privately held company focused on creating value by developing Canada’s oil sands using innovative in situ technologies. According to the company web site, it has a diverse portfolio of oil sands assets at varied stages of development, and experienced people with the requisite technical expertise. Laricina has identified five core areas with commercial production potential in excess of 500,000 gross barrels of bitumen per day from a large concentrated resource base with approximately 4.6 billion barrels net recoverable bitumen.
As part of expanding its exploration and development projects and preparing for commercial oil production and future growth – Laricina decided to implement an integrated business management / ERP solution. Laricina selected SAP® Business All-in-One as the solution technology and Illumiti as its implementation partner.
Illumiti implemented the solution from January 2010, with the first phase going live in May 2010 – on time and within the planned budget. Phase 1 included financial and management accounting, materials management, inventory management and procurement; with plant maintenance added in Phase 2. The implementation included a particularly strong focus on Laricina’s requirements for AFE (Application For Expenditure) project cost control and its seamless integration with the rest of its financial management processes, with real-time information management. This has enabled Laricina to avoid the typical practice within its industry – of using best-of-breed software for managing AFEs. Having a single integrated system significantly improves efficiency and reduces IT costs.
Stuart Gibson, Laricina's Manager, Operational Accounting, said: "Illumiti delivered outstanding, integrated AFE (project tracking) and financial management functionality that helps us control costs, produce accurate reports and manage operational information in real-time. I recently participated in Sapphire Now, SAP's annual conference, which had breakthrough attendance of more than 100,000 people globally: 14,000 in person and 86,000 online.
One of the sessions at Sapphire which I'd like to highlight today was a panel discussion involving three mid-sized companies from different industries and countries, all of whom extended their initial ERP implementations in ways that delivered exceptional business value.
The panelists included:
- Joanne Hodge, VP and CIO of TheMIGroup, a global provider of relocation and assignment management programs (and a long-standing customer of Illumiti);
- William Edmonds, President and Director of Sales and Marketing at B&G Manufacturing Company Inc, a manufacturer and distributor of diverse products including fasteners, medical devices and machine tools; and
- Andreas Berg, CIO of Wolffkran AG, a crane manufacturer and international crane leasing and services company.
