Alamos Gold optimizes financial management and controls with SAP ERP

Alamos Gold (TSX.AGI) is a publicly-traded gold mining company with operations in Mexico and Turkey. The Company owns 100% of the 30,325-hectare Salamandra group of concessions located in the state of Sonora in northwest Mexico. The Salamandra group of concessions includes the Mulatos Mine and several other prospective exploration targets throughout the district (map source: www.alamosgold.com).
The Mulatos Mine commenced commercial production on April 1, 2006 and has evolved into one of the lowest-cost gold mines in the sector. The Alamos team is intent on establishing better, higher standards of operations within the Mining industry.
ERP implementation proejct
Illumiti has recently completed the first implementation phase of its Accelerated ERP for Mining solution at Alamos Gold, using SAP Business All-in-One. The system is in live production since September 2010, covering business operations in both Mexico - where mining operations take place - and the Toronto head office. The system helps Alamos Gold optimize financial management processes using SAP's Finance/Controlling and Materials Management modules within an integrated ERP environment.
Illumiti completed the implementation project on-time and on-budget, within a 14-week timeframe. The next implementation phase is planned to include Plant Maintenance, HR Management and Payroll.
