ERP Planning

When embarking on an ERP implementation, it is critical to identify the business values and outcomes an ERP implementation will bring to your organization. In the following video, Steve Pasquill discusses why business outcomes matter in ERP planning.

ERP Planning - Why Business Outcomes Matter:

One of the things that organizations don't think about enough as they move into ERP is the business value that ERP is going to deliver to them. They tend to focus really on the what, not so much the why. So one of the things that's important to keep in mind as you are making your way through your ERP project,  when you get to those moments that test you as an organization is, What is the business outcome?  What’s the business value driving that? Use that to stay focused.

It's also critical as your project moves on and becomes a growth within your organization and starts to evolve scope, to remember what those business outcomes are so that you can use that to drive how you shape your your project, how you shape your plan, and the returns are you looking for out of the project.
